Most Reached For Products - Korean Edition

Hello everyone, and good day! I'm quite excited because recently I got a new camera, so no more taking photos with my phone! The lighting in my room where I currently take my photos is not the best, but I'm working with it. I hope you enjoy the better quality from now on and look forward to my future posts!
You might or might not be aware of this but I absolutely love Korean things, and I especially love Korea's beauty products. I'm not as big on makeup but I make sure to look after my skin, and many of the products I use in my daily routine are Korean products. I've always loved reading about bloggers most reached for products so I decided to do my own but a Korean edition! I won't be doing a full on review of each of the products but I will be talking about what I adore about each one (in no particular order). Enjoy!

Tony Moly Prestige Snail Lip Treatment Stick
Yes you read it right, 'Snail Lip Treatment Stick'! For anyone unfamiliar with Asian cosmetics you might find it odd that snail secretion is used in products, but it is actually very good for your skin. This is the 2nd stick I've had to buy so far, it's my go to Korean lip balm as it does a great job at moisturising your lips. I like to use this at night time before bed so it can treat my lips over night, but of course it's great for during the day too. Oddly this product is no longer available from the eBay shops I know used to sell it, so sadly I may be needing to find an alternative soon. Not too much of this product is needed so it lasts a long time (thankfully), but I alternate between this lip balm and the Nivea Essential Care lip balm.

Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint in PK001 (Pink)
Speaking of lips, I adore this lip tint by Etude House! I own it in a few other shades but this is by far my favourite one. I don't use makeup that often but for a subtle colour to the lips this is a nice option. It feels lightweight on the lips and the scent is so sweet and tasty! It doesn't dry out the lips at all which is what I love about it, and the colour is not too 'in your face'.

The Face Shop Chia Seed Sebum Control Moisture Cream
This is by far one of my most favourite products of all time! I received this as a gift from a friend who went to South Korea, and she was told it is good for combination skin like mine. I use this on my skin after cleansing and applying toner, and that's pretty much all I do! Applying this on the face is so refreshing, I can't express how cool it feels on the skin. It has a lovely light scent to it that smells clean and fresh - but not the 'chemically' clean smell. After applying this my skin feels so lovely and smooth, almost baby soft. It doesn't make my skin oily at all and keeps it moisturised all day long. This chia seed moisture cream has been lasting me a long time as I used to alternate between this and some snail moisture cream, but now I only use this as it is so good! Oh, and it also comes with a spatula which is always handy, plus it makes it more hygienic to use. This is definitely a product that I will continue to use for many years.

Secret Key Gold Racoony Hydro Gel Eye & Spot Patch
I love these gel patches from Secret Key! These are actually the first gel patches I have ever tried but I am so pleased with the results so far. I use these quite often to minimise puffiness under my eyes, as well as firming my skin in that area and the results are noticeable right away. Not only that, but they are refreshing and cool to apply, so great for when you need to cool down your eyes - you could even store this in the fridge so it is super cold and even more refreshing! The spot patches also work wonders in reducing the size of spots, pop one of these on and you will notice a big difference the next day. Here's what they look like inside, it comes with 60 eye patches and 30 spot patches (I've used a lot already)!

Not photographed: includes a spatula to grab the patches with.

The Face Shop Core Seed Purifying Mist
Another product from The Face Shop on this list, this one actually came as a freebie with the Chia Seed Moisture Cream. I've never used a face mist before (although I see them being used all the time in Korean drama's) but this product is great! It's not something I use all the time but from time to time when I am treating my skin I apply this on after I've used a face mask, it makes my skin so smooth and it has a lovely scent to it which is similar to that of the Chia Seed product. It is unreal how soft this makes the skin feel, after using this I'm really curious to try out other face mists and start using them in my every day routine.

Etude House Silk Scarf Repair Hair Essence
The last product on my list of most reached for Korean products is this hair essence by Etude House. When I first got the silk scarf hair products I was a little sceptical if they would actually work well enough for my hair as it's naturally curly/frizzy Afro-Caribbean hair, but out of the whole range this is the one that I continue to use. I apply it to the ends of my hair when it's damp before blow drying to help seal all those split ends! It has a floral scent to it and overall it makes the ends of my hair feel silky smooth. I'm about half way through this product and it is lasting me ages, I probably won't need to buy another one until next year!

That's all for my most reached products. If you enjoyed this post then please give it a +1 or comment! I'll be doing more beauty posts soon (likely reviews) so if you'd like to keep updated be sure to follow.

  1. I really liked this post as I'm into Korean products as well! I have combination skin too, so I'll definitely check out that chia seed moisture cream

    1. Thank you! :D I highly recommend the Chia Seed Moisture Cream, out of all the moisturisers I've ever used before this is definitely the one that feels like it's made a big difference to my skin.
